About
Hello! My name is Lana Ramselaar, the founder of pottery studio Bakkie Pleur.
My journey into ceramics began as a lifeline during a burnout phase when the creative spark seemed lost for a long time. As a child, I was always surrounded by pencils, paper, clay, fabric, glitter and paint. Crafting made me so happy, and I wondered where that spark had gone. The creativity came back while joining a ceramics course, and I couldn’t get enough of it! Whenever I'm working with clay, it feels like reliving the crafting days of my childhood.
In 2022, I was able to rent some space in an artists collective in Utrecht Overvecht, to create my own work and share the cool process of creating ceramics with others. Bakkie Pleur was born!
💡 My Mission 💡
Very simple: to spread the joy of playing with clay and glazes and to create a safe space where people can come together and have a good time - away from screens that take up a lot of our attention already.
Just as ceramics became my grounding oasis during chaotic times, I’d love to share this muddy process with you.
