Frequently Asked Questions

What is your return policy?

If you are purchasing as a consumer within the European Union, you have the right to withdraw from your purchase within 14 days of receiving your order, without giving any reason.

To exercise your right of withdrawal, please contact me within the 14-day period. Once your withdrawal has been communicated, the artwork must be returned within 14 days.

Returned items must be in their original condition, unused, and securely packaged. The buyer is responsible for the cost of return shipping unless otherwise required by applicable law. Once the returned item has been received and inspected, a refund will be issued using the original payment method.

Please note that the buyer is responsible for any loss in value resulting from handling the artwork beyond what is necessary to establish its nature, characteristics, and condition.

Customers outside the European Union:
Purchases shipped to destinations outside the European Union are final. Returns, exchanges, and cancellations are not accepted unless required by applicable law.

Exception for commissioned work:
The right of withdrawal does not apply to commissioned or custom-made pieces that have been created to your specific requirements or personalized at your request. These sales are final and cannot be returned or cancelled once work has begun.

Will I be charged for duties on my parcel?

For parcels shipped within the European Union, the taxes are included in the price.

If you're outside of the EU, there is a chance you will have to pay some type of fee (taxes, custom fees, e.g.) when you receive your package. Keep this in mind when placing an order. Duties vary from country to country and I’m not held responsible for any possible duties or taxes you might have to pay.

My piece arrived damaged. What do I do?

If your order arrives broken or damaged please contact Bakkie Pleur within 48 hours of receiving your parcel. Include photos of the piece and box. I will evaluate the issue and determine a solution.
